Over 50% of Labour supporters and members surveyed by Labour Grassroots would attend a political event with social distancing.
Over 900 people took part in the survey and many had already attended a political event, such as for NHS Workers’ pay rise, and were not troubled by the idea.
Other respondents said they would be happy to attend such an event on condition that masks were worn and that there was not too much travel involved.
As a result of the survey, Stand up for Labour and Labour Grassroots are looking into the possibility of holding a show during the time of the Labour Party Conference (19th to 21st September) – this would be either in Liverpool or Brighton (depending on the availability of venue space).
Further results from the survey will be published soon.
