On this week’s ‘Not the Andrew Marr Show’, we spoke to affiliated trade unions who have written a letter to Keir Starmer appealing for Jeremy Corbyn to have the whip restored in order to bring party unity.

Following the newspaper review with John Dunn and Chris Peace (Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign), we spoke to Howard Beckett (Unite), Matt Wrack (FBU), Andrew Hudd (ASLEF), Manuel Cortes (TSSA) and Ian Hodson (BFAWU).

We heard about the unions’ disappointment with the way Keir Starmer and the frontbench of the party are dealing with a number of issues, not just the treatment of Jeremy Corbyn.

Following this, we heard from Louise Regan and Naomi Wimborne-Idrissi, two prominent and well-respected activists who have recently been suspended by the party.

The show was rounded off with a flourish with Robb Johnson performing his Christmas song, ‘Shut up and just go Xmas Shopping’.
